#15 of 365 project
I am very lucky to have married such a wonderful and smart woman. You see, Sherri is a geologist and has an obsession with rocks and fossils. There is no shortage of cool old stuff laying around our house. Last night when I was having trouble being creative, I decided to take one of her fossils and try out some macro shots with it.
This fossilized fish (Diplomystus) is sitting in a block of oil shale that she dug out of a quarry in Utah.
We have about 5 of these laying around the house in various places, in various forms of completeness. This one just happens to be the most complete fish fossil we've got.
